If you are in the North West and South West region of Cameroon at this moment, you must have noticed that your internet connection is extremely slow and sometimes your internet goes on and off.
Kinnaka's blog just confirmed through multiple reliable sources that MINPOSTEL instructed the bosses of the 3 Mobile Networks in Cameroon (i.e. Nexttel, MTN and Orange) to downgrade the internet connection in the North West and South West Region of Cameroon from 4G to 2G (E). This has made it impossible for the Southern Cameroonians to stream videos, download and share files on the social media platforms.
This reduction in internet bandwidth in the North West and South West Region of Cameroon is like an indirect internet shut down. As of now (the 29th of September, 2017 at 9pm) the internet service in the North West and South West region of Cameroon is unusable.

The communique released by Minister of Post and Telecommunication reassuring the Southern Cameroonians that Internet service won,t be shut down is FAKE. Despite the release of the Communique, from the look of things, there's a high probability that internet service will be shut down.
Some Nexttel subcribers in the North West and South West region of Cameroon don,t have internet access.
