Kinnakas Blog just learnt that the Presidential Couple left Yaounde on the 14th of September 2017 for New York .
On the invitation of the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, President Paul Biya will take part in the deliberations of the 72nd UN General Assembly meeting.
The agenda of this 72nd General Assembly meeting will center around Security, Education, Environmental Conventions and Social Development amongst others.Urgent world issues like the recent threats from North Korea will be at the top of the agenda.

Apart from world issues, most Cameroon political analyst say that there,s a high probability that president Biya will be questioned by the UN secretary general concerning the numerous report they have received about Human right violations in Southern Cameroon. One of the clear evidence of human right violation is the arbitrary arrest of more than 100 Anglophone Cameroonians. 55 of those people who were arbitrary detained have already been released (after spending close to 7 months in prison) and 34 are still in detention.

President Paul Biya; who has been in power for over 35 yrs and have attended the UN General assembly meeting more than any African president, will be meeting new faces like Donald Trump, Theresa May, Emmanuel Macron and many others in this 72nd UN General Assembly meeting.
